Waterfront Concert Series—Summer 2010



一年一度的「Waterfront Concert Series」即將於7月3日展開了!

在活動期間,每逢週六及週日的下午2至4時,在White Rock Museum前的廣場都會有一場音樂表演,今年的節目內容如下。

此項活動,完全免費,有興趣的人可依時前往欣賞。

Pacific Showtime Chorus (July 3)
Enjoy a cappella harmonies barbershop style in a world where grown men sing about the joy of living, the heart-break of loss and the excitement of an unknown future.

Duolocity (July 4)
If you have a passion for the great standards of the jazz songbook, then you will love Duolocity. Ron Bull on sax and flute, and Rick Gibbs on guitar.

Chico and Tim (July 10)
Acoustic guitar duo “Chico and Tim” have been entertaining Vancouver music lovers since 2006. The repertoire includes jazz standards, Latin, pop, blues, and swing.

Glen Pearson (July 11)
Glen’s strong vocal and guitar talent have made him a popular local performer. Don’t miss a chance to hear him play live on the waterfront.

Blue Voodoo Duo (July 17)
Created with fun in mind, the Blue Voodoo is a musical adventure that combines many different musical styles to from the bluesy “musical soul cleansing”.

Jazz for Kicks (July 18)
An electric ensemble of kindred spirits and veteran musicians. A live performance by jazz for Kicks is a delight for all.

Sam and Luke Remedios (July 24)
Sam and Luke, tenn brothers, musicians and singer/song-writers are energizing everywhere they play. Come to the beach and share the experience!

The Scarlet & Blues Quartet (July 25)
Audiences of all ages will appreciate this unique chamber group of the Fifteenth Field Artillery Band, A talented group of musician-solders.

Acoustic Groove Duo (Aug. 7)
White Rock Drummer/Percussionist Tony Chamberlist and Surrey Based vocalist/guitarist Mike Taylor delight listeners with a combination of soulfulness and sensitivity.

Doe Bender (Aug. 8)
Jazz singer Doe Bender fuses a classical, gospel, pop and jazz background into a soulful styling that connects with audiences of all ages.

Joe Given and Marv Goble (Aug. 14)
Marv Goble and Joe Given, the award-winning singer/performer from Surrey will entertain crowds with a great mix of guitar and vocals from a variety of genres.

Brian Thomas (Aug. 15)
Brian Thomas is a Celtic-folk songwriter and nulti-instrumentalist whose songs recapture the storytelling tradition of music.

Story House (Aug. 21)
Experience the spine-tingling harmonies of bluegrass favourities. The soulful quartet features original tunes mixed with covers of great songs old and new.
