Blackie Spit Park--A haven for birds

Blackie Spit Park—A Haven for Birds

A phenomenon involves millions take place here. Birds migrate along the international Pacific Flyway. The invisible road streach from Alaska to the Southern tip of South America is traveled by migrating birds. Not once, but twice yearly.

The Boundry Bay and Blackie Spit provide critical resting and feeding ground for 1.4 millioms migrating birds, in addition to hosting many other kinds of wildlife, year round. Wildlife that depend on areas such of these as for survival.

Crucial spaces like Blackie Spit become as rare as some of spicies hosted here. But nature, being generous in spirit, welcomes all who come to observe and respect the retreat.
