Born with nothing, and going to die with nothing.

一對結縭47載、年齡合計153歲的夫婦(Violet 78歲、Allen 75歲)，沒有小孩，住在一間147年屋齡的白色農舍。 (Lower Truro, N.S., Canada)

多年以來，他們已養成每週購買彩券(Lottery)的習慣。

2010年的某一天，他們發現自己中了6/49的第一特獎，獎金總額有&11,255,272。

經過深思熟慮後，他們決定只保留下2%的獎金，其餘全數轉送給兄弟姐妹及捐給數十個慈善機構。

目前他們還沒計劃如何支用這筆保留下來的獎金，也不想停止購買彩券。

因為他們認為：「No reason to stopped an old habit now, it’s just something to do.」

而且他們還說：「If we win again, we will give the money away again.」

為何他們有如此胸襟呢？

就像Violet所說的：「You’re born with nothing, and you’re going to die with nothing. That’s the only way to look at it.」
